Facilities
Our boathouse can be found in Fulford, just downstream of the ancient City of York and a 5-minute cycle from the University. We are lucky enough to be able to utilise an unbroken 26km stretch of the River Ouse, which winds through the idyllic North Yorkshire countryside and through the city centre itself. The Ouse is perfect for training, with many wide straights that allow for competitive side-by-side racing.
The boathouse is complete with changing rooms, warm showers and a clubroom equipped with a small kitchen unit and video analysis setup. We currently house a large fleet of top-class shells, from singles to eights and everything in between.

Land Training
Located on campus, our land training facilities are where you will find most of our athletes when they aren’t on the water (or in the library).
Our ergometers are housed in the Pavilion — just across the road from York Sport Centre, the central gym on Campus West. York Sport Village is located on Campus East.
York is an extremely “cycle-friendly” city, and the University is no different. All our facilities are fitted with bike-racks and we actively encourage our members to cycle whenever they can!
